The Food Prep Worker II role at Aramark is a vital position that supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients and assisting with food service tasks in various client locations. The job responsibilities of the Food Prep Worker II include preparing a variety of foods based on standardized recipes and production guidelines, setting up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, measuring and preparing food items through chopping, peeling, mixing, and more. The worker must safely use utensils, including knives, and properly arrange and portion food for service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to obtain necessary food safety certification
  • basic math skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food prep experience preferred
  • knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
  • must be able to obtain required food safety certification
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
