The Food Prep Worker II position at Aramark offers a vital role within the culinary services team. This hourly role, with a competitive pay range of $17.50 to $18.00, focuses on assisting cooks, chefs, and food service managers by preparing ingredients and supporting overall food preparation processes. The responsibilities are designed to ensure food is prepared according to standardized recipes and production guidelines, all while strictly adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures. Food Prep Worker II will be required to set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, measure and prepare food items by chopping, trimming, peeling, and weighing, and properly arrange and garnish food servings.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food preparation experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math skills
  • effective communication skills
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food prep experience preferred
  • knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
  • must be able to obtain required food safety certification
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knives
  • arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
