The Food Prep Worker at Aramark is a vital role responsible for preparing and portioning food items efficiently while adhering strictly to Aramark’s high sanitation and safety standards. This position largely involves following standardized recipes and using daily worksheets to cook meals that meet production requirements. The Food Prep Worker ensures all food is prepared with consistency, quality, and proper handling, maintaining accurate rotation and storage of food to maximize freshness and reduce waste. This role requires attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of refrigerators, work areas, and station setups, including the proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment. Continuous compliance with food safety regulations and company policies is essential to uphold a safe work environment.

In this role, the Food Prep Worker will need to manage leftover food items correctly by covering, labeling, dating, and storing them according to Aramark’s standards to maintain food safety and minimize spoilage. The position encourages proactive participation in safety practices and accident reporting procedures while completing all required training sessions. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing, and walking are part of the role, and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms may be necessary. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related experience preferred
  • knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation helpful
  • ability to read and write
  • basic math and counting skills
  • ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stand for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes
