The Food Prep Worker plays a critical role within Aramark's food service operations, contributing directly to the preparation and portioning of food items in accordance with strict production requirements and Aramark sanitation standards. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to company policies, including food safety, proper handling, and sanitary practices. The Food Prep Worker uses daily worksheets and standardized recipes to cook meals that meet quality and freshness standards, ensuring that all food items are prepared on time and following precise instructions. They are responsible for maintaining accurate rotation of food to prevent spoilage and for correctly managing leftover foods through proper covering, labeling, dating, and storage. Additionally, the Food Prep Worker maintains cleanliness and orderliness in refrigerators and work areas, including kitchen equipment cleaning at the end of each shift. Safety is a top priority, with a focus on maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment that complies with all relevant food safety regulations and company policies. The worker is also expected to complete all required training and adhere to safety policies and accident reporting procedures. This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms may also be required. Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred
- Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills

Job Duties
- Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes
- Follows proper food handling procedures
- Maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness
- Manages leftover foods correctly
- covers, labels, dates, and accurately stores according to Aramark standards
- Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
- Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift including cleaning of kitchen equipment
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations
- Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures
- Completes all required training
