The role of Food Prep Worker at Aramark involves preparing and portioning food items according to production requirements and maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety. The Food Prep Worker is responsible for following proper food handling procedures, ensuring accurate rotation of food items to maintain freshness, and managing leftover foods properly by covering, labeling, and storing according to company guidelines. Additionally, this role involves maintaining clean, organized, and sanitized workstations and kitchen equipment at the end of each shift. Adhering to food safety standards and workplace safety policies is crucial to this role, which may also include accident reporting and completing all required training. The role is physically demanding at times, requiring the ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms are often required. Job Requirements
- Must be able to read and write
- Minimum one year of food prep or related experience preferred
- Ability to follow food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred
- Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
Job Duties
- Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes
- Follows proper food handling procedures
- Maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness
- Manages leftover foods correctly including covering, labeling, dating, and storing
- Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
- Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift including kitchen equipment cleaning
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment conforming to all food safety standards and regulations
- Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures
- Completes all required training
