The position of Food Prep Worker at Aramark is a vital role within their food services team, responsible for preparing and portioning food items in alignment with standardized recipes and production needs. This role operates under Aramark’s high sanitation and food safety standards, ensuring that all food handling is conducted safely and efficiently. The Food Prep Worker uses daily worksheets and standardized recipes to cook meals, maintaining accurate food rotations to assure quality and freshness. This position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.45. In this role, the Food Prep Worker is also responsible for managing leftover foods correctly by covering, labeling, dating, and storing them properly according to company standards. Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment is paramount, with strict adherence to food safety regulations and company safety policies. Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred
- knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful
- must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others
- demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- able to lift, bend, push, pull and/or walk and stand for extended periods
- able to use personal protective equipment and wear uniforms as required
