Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. Established with a strong commitment to service and sustainability, Aramark focuses on making a positive impact on its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company is driven by a mission to provide inclusive employment opportunities and ensure that all employees have the freedom to participate fully and fairly within the organization. Aramark embraces diversity and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, or other protected characteristics by law.
This opportunity is for the role of Food Prep Worker, a vital position within Aramark’s food production team. The Food Prep Worker is responsible for preparing and portioning food items in alignment with production needs and Aramark’s strict sanitation standards. Working Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, this role involves using standardized recipes and daily worksheets to ensure consistent, high-quality meal preparation. The Food Prep Worker adheres closely to food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and temperature control, to maintain excellence in quality and freshness.
The role requires hands-on involvement in managing leftover foods with accurate labeling, dating, and proper storage, following company standards. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in refrigerators and workstations is essential, as is sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas both during and at the end of shifts. This position demands vigilance to uphold safety policies and food safety regulations at all times. The Food Prep Worker will also participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance with safety procedures and continuously improve skills.
Physical demands of the job may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Employees might be required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). This role is suitable for those who take pride in culinary preparation and are committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Minimum experience preferred includes one year of food prep or related service work, along with foundational knowledge of knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation practices. Being able to read and write is necessary for clear communication within the team, and basic math and counting skills are helpful for daily tasks.
Aramark fosters professional development and career growth, encouraging employees to develop new skills and take on challenges.
