Job Requirements

  • high school education or equivalent
  • minimum two years of culinary or relevant experience in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • compliance with health department regulations including tb clearance
  • legal eligibility to work in the united states
  • flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • ability to operate and sanitize a variety of kitchen equipment
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • high school education, enrollment in a culinary institute, or comparable hands-on experience
  • a minimum of two years of culinary experience or relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment
  • proven knowledge of culinary practices with an emphasis on food safety and sanitation standards
  • compliance with health regulations including obtaining a tuberculosis (tb) clearance card as required by the health department
  • experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining settings preferred
  • advanced culinary certifications or specialized training in cooking techniques preferred
  • strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and waste reduction preferred
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team and under pressure in a fast-paced environment preferred

Job Duties

  • foster a collaborative and professional atmosphere with co-workers and supervisors
  • operate, maintain, and properly sanitize kitchen equipment including fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat-top grills
  • ensure that all food containers are correctly dated and rotated according to established guidelines, maintaining proper storage temperatures for perishables
  • monitor stock levels, prepare for shifts, manage freezer inventory, and set up the production line accordingly
  • identify missing items or shortages and return unused food to proper storage areas, ensuring perishables are properly labeled and covered
  • work with the team to develop strategies to manage food costs, waste, and consumption based on the established policies
  • lead by example and delegate tasks to cooks at levels 3 and 4 with responsibility and professionalism
