The Food Prep Person also contributes to maintaining the buffet's cleanliness and ensuring compliance with local health laws.
Beyond food preparation, the role involves managing inventory according to company guidelines and helping with administrative and customer service tasks during meal periods. The Food Prep Person is responsible for labeling, dating, and rotating bulk produce and prepped items to maintain food safety and quality standards. This person is also tasked with cleaning and organizing prep areas, coolers, equipment, and storage spaces, ensuring that all workspaces meet service and quality standards. Importantly, this position requires attention to detail to detect and report any discrepancies such as food spoilage or invoice errors promptly to management, contributing to overall food safety and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation or kitchen environment preferred
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
