Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain cleanliness
  • Good interpersonal skills for guest interaction
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in food preparation or a similar role is an asset
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and preparation guides
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic math skills for inventory and yield calculations

Job Duties

  • Prepare prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes
  • Maintain a standard inventory of prep items following the Prep Production Guide
  • Ensure optimum yield of products through the product cycle
  • Label, date, and rotate all bulk produce and prepped items
  • Store all food items in approved, covered containers
  • Use the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance
  • Report any discrepancies such as food spoilage or invoice errors to management
  • Assist the Buffet Attendant in maintaining a full and clean buffet
  • Clean, maintain, and organize prep areas including coolers, equipment, and dry storage
  • Follow health department laws and position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery
  • Perform administrative tasks and assist guests during meal periods
