The Food Prep Person ensures that the preparation areas, coolers, equipment, and dry storage remain clean and orderly, complying fully with local health department regulations. Job Duties

  • prepare prep items according to golden corral product specifications and recipes
  • maintain a standard inventory of prep items according to the prep production guide and the display cooking prep production guide and update the two guides as directed by management
  • ensure optimum yield of products through the product cycle
  • label, date, and rotate all bulk produce and prepped items
  • ensure all food items are in approved, covered storage containers
  • complete use and follow the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance
  • notify the manager of any discrepancies such as food spoilage, invoice errors, excessive waste, or products that do not meet specifications
  • assist the buffet attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet
  • clean, maintain, and organize prep area including cooler(s), equipment, and dry storage
  • perform duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met
  • follow local health department laws
  • perform administrative tasks and help guests during meal periods
