Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years old

  • 6 months to 1 year of retail or food service experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Job Duties

  • Complies with company guidelines for maximizing sales, profitability and customer service by ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly
  • Completes build-to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise
  • Maintains inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, stocking merchandise according to schematic
  • Validates deliveries by verifying invoices and resolving discrepancies with Store Manager
  • Prepares displays by assembling, dating, and price marking in-store displays
  • Rotates food items, monitors quality and freshness
  • Monitors and maintains food preparation area and display cases
  • Assists training new associates emphasizing excellent customer service
  • Monitors and organizes inventory to prevent stock shortages
  • Coaches staff on suggestive selling techniques
  • Makes price changes and places advertising and pricing signage
  • Provides prompt excellent customer service
  • Greets customers and resolves routine concerns
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment
  • Sweeps, mops, dusts, and cleans store areas
  • Inspects store facilities and equipment
  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains food service equipment
  • Notifies Store Manager of inventory or operating discrepancies
  • Receives and signs vendor deliveries
  • Follows guidelines for product breakage or spoilage
  • Supervises food prep employees in Store Manager’s absence
  • Helps coach and train employees
  • Monitors customer traffic and adjusts staffing
  • Assists with employee counseling
  • Follows food safety laws and company policies
  • Assists in maintaining a safe environment and protecting Company assets
  • Reports incidents and unsafe conduct
  • Attends job-related meetings
  • Maintains intradepartmental workflow
  • Complies with company policies
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision

  • May take inventory of supplies and equipment
