The role of Food Prep Helper at Sodexo in the Lake Washington School District is a full-time position that plays an essential part in the daily preparation and serving of nutritious meals. This position is scheduled predominantly during weekday morning shifts and offers a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour. As a Food Prep Helper, you will be the supportive assisting hand behind the scenes, responsible for following recipes and food preparation instructions, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen stations, and helping maintain the overall organization and cleanliness of the food preparation environment. You may also engage in basic cooking tasks such as cooking vegetables or preparing chicken for salads, always adhering to food safety standards.

Job Duties
- Reads recipes and/or product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment
- Clean and sanitize work stations and production equipment
- May have basic cooking responsibilities, i.e., cook vegetables, chicken for salads
- Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
