As a company, Sodexo values its employees by fostering a fair, respectful, and inclusive work environment where everyone's ideas are valued and where individuals can thrive personally and professionally.
At Sodexo, the role of a Food Prep Helper is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to contribute to daily positive experiences for customers and colleagues alike. Located at UNITED CLUB - SAN - 70148001, this full-time position offers an hourly wage of $21.5. The Food Prep Helper at Sodexo plays a critical support role in the food preparation and service team. The individual is responsible for assisting with the preparation of hot and cold meals following recipe guidelines, handling various kitchen utensils and equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the workplace. Basic cooking duties may be required, such as cooking vegetables or chicken for salads, supporting more senior kitchen staff while learning and developing skills. This role goes beyond food preparation by fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, contributing to customer satisfaction through attentive and helpful service. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as well as adaptability to different business needs and client requirements.

While prior experience in food preparation is beneficial, it is not mandatory, making this role suitable for those entering the food service industry or those looking for a supportive and welcoming workplace.
The benefits package is comprehensive, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, employee discount programs, and potentially site-specific perks such as free meals or allowances, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation or parking support. Sodexo believes in nurturing its employees' growth by providing ongoing training, career advancement opportunities, and a flexible work environment that respects work-life balance.
