Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, the company has successfully created joyful, lasting memories for families and children through a unique combination of food, fun, and play. Known for celebrating over half a million birthdays annually, Chuck E. Cheese has earned a reputation as "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," committing to safety and community support with initiatives like the Kid Check® program and donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, reflecting its dedication to innovation and employee well-being.
Peter Piper Pizza complements this by offering a neighborhood pizzeria experience focused on quality food and engaging entertainment where "The Fun is Baked In!" Both brands champion play by providing attractions that support physical wellness and motor skill development in children. CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming environment for employees and guests alike.
CEC Entertainment is currently hiring for the roles of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Makers at Chuck E. Cheese. This position offers an hourly wage range between $11.14 and $13.42, with additional commission potential based on sales of memberships and Fun Passes. The compensation includes commissions ranging from $0.50 to $10 per membership and $0.15 to $3 per Fun Pass for exempt employees, while non-exempt employees can earn between $2.00 and $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, bi-weekly. Employees also benefit from the innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing access to earned wages without waiting for the regular paycheck schedule.
As a Food Prep, Cook, or Pizza Maker, you will play a critical role in supporting the fun experience by preparing food orders primarily in a no-fry kitchen, focusing on pizzas, salads, and wings. This entry-level position provides opportunities for first-time job seekers or those seeking to build a rewarding career within a well-respected family entertainment company. Employees are cross-trained across various positions to enhance service quality and also have significant advancement potential, with over 60% of managers being promoted from within.
Candidates for this role should expect to engage in physically active tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and walking during their shifts in an environment that features flashing lights, mechanical parts, and loud noises. Strong customer service skills, enthusiasm, and flexibility to work different shifts are essential to succeed in this fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
CEC Entertainment offers comprehensive benefits designed to support the diverse needs of its workforce nationwide. All employees gain access to telemedicine services, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time staff may access fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision plans, and voluntary life and disability benefits, while full-time employees working an average of 29.5+ hours per week become eligible for medical, dental, vision, paid sick and vacation time, holidays where applicable, flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and education and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment is committed to compliance with state and local laws, providing paid sick leave and accommodating individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The company also prioritizes health and safety, implementing rigorous sanitation standards to protect employees and guests. CEC embraces a culture of diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications without regard to any legally protected characteristics and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive around great food, family, and fun!
