Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates well-known brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. Celebrating over half a million birthdays annually, Chuck E. Cheese is committed to creating joyful and lasting memories through great food, fun activities, and family-friendly play environments. This iconic brand stands as a place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®" and emphasizes safety and community support through programs like Kid Check® and charitable donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. The company is also celebrated for its innovation and employee well-being, having received the "Best in STEM" award and recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025. Peter Piper Pizza complements this offering by delivering a neighborhood pizzeria experience where fun is central to every meal and visit, supporting physical wellness and motor skills development for kids, ensuring that family connections and community building are at the heart of their mission.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 U.S. states and 18 countries globally. This substantial footprint demonstrates the company’s dedication to bringing fun, food, and play to families everywhere while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that reflects the varied backgrounds of the guests served. The company is committed to providing a workplace environment that is equitable and welcoming, upholding equal employment opportunities and compliance with all relevant laws.
The role of Kitchen Prep and Pizza Maker at CEC Entertainment is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their careers in a vibrant, family-oriented hospitality environment. Employees in this position assist with preparing menu items including pizzas, salads, and wings within a clean, no-fry kitchen setup. The work culture at CEC promotes employee empowerment through extensive cross-training, enabling staff to gain experience in multiple positions and build a broad set of skills. This preparation and flexibility have led over 60% of managers to be promoted from within, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to career development.
The hourly compensation ranges from $16.90 to $17.90, with attractive commission potential depending on the employee’s exempt status. Exempt employees can earn commissions from $0.50 to $10 for each membership sold and $0.15 to $3 for each Fun Pass sold, paid bi-weekly unless otherwise mandated by state law. Non-exempt employees also have commission opportunities ranging between $2.00 to $8 for memberships and $0.60 to $2.40 for Fun Passes sold. Additionally, CEC Entertainment offers an innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, ensuring employees do not have to wait for traditional pay cycles and can access earned wages promptly.
Working at Chuck E. Cheese means being part of a fun, fast-paced environment where lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and performing a variety of physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting are part of daily duties. The atmosphere includes exposure to flashing lights and mechanical parts, catering to those who thrive in active and engaging work settings. Maintaining excellent customer service and a positive, energetic attitude is essential for success in this role.
CEC Entertainment provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees at all levels. All employees enjoy telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time staff may enroll in medical, dental, vision, and voluntary life and disability benefits, while full-time employees are eligible for even more extensive coverage, including paid sick and vacation time and paid holidays where applicable. The company also complies with all state and local paid sick leave laws. This commitment to employee well-being, inclusive workplace policies, and growth opportunities makes CEC Entertainment a standout choice for job seekers wanting to work in a supportive and dynamic environment focused on family fun and exceptional service.
