Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC is a prominent and nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands, which together create joyful and lasting memories for families through the combination of food, fun, and play. Chuck E. Cheese, known as the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," celebrates over half a million birthdays annually and has committed to the safety of children through initiatives like Kid Check®. The company has a strong philanthropic presence, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces and received the "Best in STEM" award, highlighting its focus on innovation, employee well-being, and education.
Peter Piper Pizza delivers a neighborhood pizzeria experience that combines quality food and engaging entertainment, creating lifelong memories while promoting physical wellness and motor skill development in children. CEC Entertainment and its franchisees operate nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, supporting a diverse and inclusive culture where fun and family connections unite communities.
The company is committed to hiring a diverse workforce, reflecting the many backgrounds and experiences of the guests they serve. CEC Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides equal employment opportunities regardless of race, ancestry, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected classes.
This role is for Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Makers at Chuck E. Cheese, a dynamic position designed for individuals who are either entering the workforce for the first time or looking to build an exciting career in the food service and entertainment industry. Employees in this role are empowered through cross-training in multiple positions, fostering opportunities for career advancement, with over 60% of managers promoted internally. This "no-fry kitchen" position involves preparing easy-to-make menu items such as pizza, salads, and wings, contributing directly to the company’s goal of delivering fun through food and play.
Chuck E. Cheese offers an innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages quickly rather than waiting between paychecks, reflecting the company’s dedication to employee financial well-being.
The compensation for these positions ranges from $15.16 to $16.16 hourly, supplemented by commission opportunities based on membership and Fun Pass sales, with different commission rates for exempt and non-exempt employees, paid out bi-weekly or as required by state laws. The work environment involves performing physically engaging duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, and working amid flashing lights and loud noises, embodying the lively nature of the entertainment setting.
CEC Entertainment provides a comprehensive benefits package to support its nationwide employees, including telemedicine, early wage access, 401(k) retirement plans, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and various financial relief programs. Part-time employees have access to fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits, while full-time employees receive extensive medical, dental, vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
The company carefully complies with all state and local laws, offering paid sick leave in accordance with regulations and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their roles. CEC Entertainment’s dedication to rigorous health and sanitation standards ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for both guests and employees, underscoring its leadership position in the family entertainment sector.
