Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC (CEC) is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, best known for operating the beloved Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck’s Arcade brands. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, CEC Entertainment offers a unique neighborhood pizzeria experience combined with family-friendly amusement venues that create lasting memories for kids and families alike. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, the company has established a deep commitment to fun, food, and community. The brands are synonymous with joyous celebration, hosting more than half a million birthdays annually, and emphasizing safety through initiatives such as the Kid Check® program. CEC’s dedication to its communities is reflected in their donation of over $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Recognized for innovation and employee well-being, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025.
CEC Entertainment cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion, making it an excellent workplace where the workforce reflects the broad spectrum of guests it serves. The company does not discriminate and provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
This role is within the fun and dynamic environment of Chuck E. Cheese’s food preparation team. The Kitchen Prep and Pizza Maker positions are integral to the back-of-house operations, helping feed families and fuel the fun through preparing pizza, salads, and wings in a no-fry kitchen setup. These roles are perfect for first-time job seekers or those looking to build a career in the food and entertainment industry. Cast Members are empowered through cross-training across various stations, which helps them grow professionally with over 60% of managers promoted from within.
Compensation for these positions ranges hourly from $17.75 to $18.75, with a commission structure that rewards Membership and Fun Pass sales. Exempt employees can earn commissions from $0.50 to $10 per Membership and $0.15 to $3 per Fun Pass, while non-exempt employees can earn $2 to $8 and $0.60 to $2.40 respectively. Moreover, CEC boasts a pioneering "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees access to earned wages before the traditional payday, enhancing their financial flexibility.
The work environment is physically active and demands the ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat during shifts. The kitchen includes exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, but the company prioritizes rigorous health and sanitation standards to protect employees and guests.
As part of the employment package, CEC offers a comprehensive benefits program to support a healthy work-life balance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, tuition savings and scholarships, early wage access, telemedicine, and an Employee Assistance Program. Part-time employees have access to fixed indemnity medical plans and voluntary life and disability options, while full-time staff enjoy additional paid leave, FSA/HSA options, and legal coverage among other perks.
CEC Entertainment invites driven, enthusiastic individuals to join a thriving team where fun is not just an add-on—it’s baked into every experience. Working at Chuck E. Cheese means joining a vibrant culture focused on teamwork, growth, and delivering outstanding customer service in a welcoming environment. Whether you’re a first-time job seeker or looking to advance your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to start or build your journey in the food and family entertainment industry.
