Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. It proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck’s Arcade. These brands are beloved across the United States and globally, with nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues operating across 45 states and 18 countries. CEC Entertainment is devoted to creating joyful and lasting memories for families by combining fun, food, and play. The company emphasizes its commitment to safety, employing programs like Kid Check® and contributing over $24 million to schools and nonprofits. Its reputation as an industry leader is further solidified by accolades such as the “Best in STEM” award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces.
Chuck E. Cheese is known as the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," celebrating over half a million birthdays annually. Its restaurants provide an engaging and safe environment filled with games, entertainment, and delicious food that brings families together. Similarly, Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience, bringing fun and quality food as an integral part of family and community life. Both brands promote physical wellness and motor skill development for children through interactive and entertaining attractions.
CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being. Its mission is to unite families and communities through shared experiences of fun and play, as well as to provide meaningful career opportunities for its team members. The company’s investment in its workforce is shown through extensive job training, career growth opportunities, and competitive benefits packages.
The Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker roles at Chuck E. Cheese are essential in helping "feed the fun" by preparing menu orders with care and efficiency. This position operates within a no-fry kitchen environment focusing on pizzas, salads, and wings. It is an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or those looking to build a dynamic career within a fun and energetic setting. This role offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages without waiting for the standard pay cycle, making Chuck E. Cheese a highly attractive employer in terms of compensation convenience.
The hourly wage for these roles ranges from $16.90 to $17.90, with commission potential based on membership and Fun Pass sales. Exempt employees can earn commissions from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass, while non-exempt employees can earn $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass commission. Commissions are paid bi-weekly unless state laws require otherwise.
As a Food Prep or Pizza Maker, employees will be cross-trained in a variety of kitchen positions, providing variety and skill development. The work environment includes physical activity such as standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a setting with flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Team members are expected to interact positively with guests and coworkers, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to creating a memorable experience for guests.
CEC Entertainment also offers various benefits to support its workforce. All employees gain access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees averaging 29.5+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, flexible spending accounts (FSA/HSA), life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment is an equal opportunity employer committed to reflecting the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the guests served. The company complies with applicable state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and other benefits. Reasonable accommodations are provided for individuals with disabilities to ensure they can perform essential job functions. Overall, Chuck E. Cheese represents a vibrant, inclusive workplace culture that offers a promising career path for individuals passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences in a lively, family-friendly environment.
