Job Description

CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With almost 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is dedicated to creating joyful and lasting memories for families through food, fun, and play. Known as the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®," the company is deeply committed to safety, community support, and innovation. Programs like Kid Check® help ensure the safety of children, and the company has donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofit organizations. Their recent recognition with the "Best in STEM" award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces highlights the company’s leadership in both industry innovation and employee well-being. Peter Piper Pizza complements this mission by offering a neighborhood pizzeria experience focused on quality food, engaging entertainment, and family fun, cementing CEC’s reputation as a leading destination for family-friendly dining and entertainment.

The role of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker at Chuck E. Cheese is integral to the company’s mission to "build careers around great food, family, and fun." This position is designed for individuals who are either entering the workforce for the first time or are looking to build an exciting career in the food service and entertainment industry. Cast members in this role are empowered through cross-training in a variety of duties, enabling them to provide exceptional service and support the overall guest experience. The kitchen is a no-fry environment, focusing on preparing pizzas, salads, wings, and other fresh menu items to ensure quality and safety. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.77 to $14.77 and a commission structure that rewards team members for selling memberships and fun passes, with commissions varying depending on exempt or non-exempt status. The company’s innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program allows employees immediate access to earned wages, promoting financial flexibility.

This role not only demands strong food preparation skills but also requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, walk, and squat throughout the shift. Beyond the physical demands, successful candidates must be able to manage job stress and interact positively with guests and coworkers in a lively and dynamic environment that includes flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Working at Chuck E. Cheese offers more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to grow with a company that prioritizes safety, inclusivity, and career development. More than 60% of the managers were promoted from within, demonstrating the company’s commitment to internal advancement and long-term employee success. In addition to competitive pay and commissions, the company provides a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible employees. Comprehensive job training and career growth opportunities are readily available, making this an exceptional career path for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, family-oriented setting.
