Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck’s Arcade, creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where kids and families can enjoy quality food and memorable play experiences. Celebrated for hosting over half a million birthdays annually, Chuck E. Cheese has earned a reputation as the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®". The brand emphasizes safety with programs like Kid Check®, supports community initiatives by having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits, and is committed to innovation and employee well-being, as reflected in its recent "Best in STEM" award and recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spread across 45 states and 18 countries. Each establishment provides a neighborhood pizzeria experience combined with engaging entertainment designed to bring families and communities together. They achieve this by championing play, which supports physical wellness and strengthens motor skills in children through various attractions and activities.
The role of Kitchen Prep and Pizza Makers at Chuck E. Cheese is vital to sustaining this fun, family-friendly environment. This position focuses on preparing orders and assisting with kitchen food preparation in a no-fry kitchen setting, specializing in the preparation of pizza, salads, and wings. It offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking either their first job or a chance to build a rewarding career in a dynamic and supportive workplace. Employees are cross-trained across multiple positions, fostering skill development and career growth. Impressively, over 60% of management personnel have been promoted from within the company, reinforcing its strong commitment to employee advancement.
Compensation for this role ranges from $11.00 to $15.13 per hour with additional commission opportunities based on the sales of memberships and Fun Passes, paid out bi-weekly. Non-exempt employees can earn commissions from $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, while exempt employees have commission potentials from $0.50 to $10.00 and $0.15 to $3.00 respectively. Moreover, Chuck E. Cheese provides a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages without waiting for the regular payday.
Working at Chuck E. Cheese involves physically engaging activities requiring standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting. Employees must be capable of lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. The job environment includes exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Therefore, it’s important that team members have excellent customer service skills, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and the ability to manage job stress while interacting effectively with guests and co-workers.
CEC Entertainment prides itself on offering robust benefits packages designed to support and enrich employees’ lives. All employees enjoy access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, as well as voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees working an average of 29.5+ hours per week are also eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation leave, paid holidays, flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA), life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
The company strictly complies with state and local laws related to paid sick leave and other benefits and makes reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. With rigorous health and sanitation standards, Chuck E. Cheese ensures the safety and well-being of all team members and guests. CEC Entertainment fosters a diverse and inclusive culture, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the guests they serve. As an equal opportunity employer, the company welcomes applicants regardless of race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected class.
