Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is committed to creating joyful, lasting memories for families and kids through a unique combination of fun, food, and play. The company places a strong emphasis on safety, innovation, and community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits to foster positive family and community interactions. Chuck E. Cheese annually celebrates over half a million birthdays, emphasizing its dedication to providing a safe and entertaining environment for children and families. The brand has been recognized for excellence, including receiving the "Best in STEM" award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025, showcasing its commitment to both innovation and employee well-being. Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience blending quality food with engaging entertainment, creating an atmosphere where fun is naturally a part of the experience. Both brands encourage physical wellness and skill development in kids through various attractions that support motor skills and active play.
CEC Entertainment is currently hiring for Kitchen Prep and Pizza Maker roles, which are essential in helping feed the fun by preparing orders and assisting with food preparation. These roles involve working in a no-fry kitchen environment, focusing on easy prep items such as pizza, salads, and wings. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or individuals looking to build a rewarding career in the family entertainment and food service industry. Chuck E. Cheese empowers its Cast Members through cross-training in a variety of positions, fostering a dynamic work environment where over 60% of managers have been promoted from within. This demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to career growth and employee development.
These positions come with a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages quickly rather than waiting between paychecks. The compensation for these roles includes commission potential for both exempt and non-exempt employees, paid bi-weekly unless state law requires otherwise. For exempt employees, commission potential ranges from $0.50 to $10.00 per Membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold. For non-exempt employees, commission potential ranges from $2.00 to $8.00 per Membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass.
Working as a Kitchen Prep or Pizza Maker at Chuck E. Cheese involves physically active tasks, including lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds and standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout the shift. The work environment includes exposure to flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, so the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers is crucial. The company takes great care in maintaining rigorous health and sanitation standards to protect the health and safety of both employees and guests.
CEC Entertainment offers a competitive benefits package designed to support employees nationwide. All employees enjoy access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits, while full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion. The company does not discriminate based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other federally, state, or locally protected class. Reasonable accommodations are provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic, fun, and supportive workplace dedicated to delivering memorable experiences to families, with robust opportunities for career growth and personal development.
