Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. The company is dedicated to creating joyful and lasting memories for children and families by offering a safe and engaging environment where kids can eat, play, and have fun. Chuck E. Cheese alone celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, establishing itself as a beloved destination that combines entertainment with quality food and excellent service. The company is committed to safety through initiatives like Kid Check, and it has donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits, demonstrating its dedication to community support. Chuck E. Cheese was recognized with the "Best in STEM" award in 2025 and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces for its innovation and focus on employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. The company emphasizes a culture of diversity, inclusion, and celebration of fun and play to unite families and communities. Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience that combines quality food with engaging entertainment, ensuring that fun is baked into every visit. Both brands encourage physical wellness and the development of motor skills in children through their various attractions.
The role being offered is for Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker positions within the Chuck E. Cheese kitchens. These roles are critical to "feeding the fun" by assisting in preparing food orders, including pizza, salads, and wings. The kitchens operate as no-fry environments, providing a healthier and easier preparation process. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers as well as individuals looking to build a long-lasting career in the food and entertainment industry. Chuck E. Cheese supports career growth by empowering Cast Members through cross-training across different positions, with over 60% of managers having been promoted from within the company.
The compensation for this role ranges from $16.90 to $17.90 per hour, with additional commission opportunities based on membership and Fun Pass sales. The company also proudly offers a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages immediately rather than waiting for the typical pay cycle. This innovative payroll approach supports employees’ financial wellness and reflects CEC’s commitment to its workforce.
Employees in this position must be at least 16 years old, be available to work various shifts, and exhibit excellent customer service skills paired with an energetic and enthusiastic personality. The work environment is dynamic and may include exposure to flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises. Employees will be required to maintain physical stamina, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting.
CEC Entertainment offers a competitive benefits package tailored to support employees nationwide. Benefits include telemedicine access, early wage access programs, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may select from fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, flexible spending accounts (FSA)/health savings accounts (HSA), life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support.
CEC Entertainment complies with state and local laws including paid sick leave and other benefits. The company supports fair hiring practices in line with the California Fair Chance Act and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, and provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The company maintains rigorous health and sanitation standards designed to protect the health and safety of employees and guests.
Overall, this role offers a unique blend of food preparation responsibilities coupled with the excitement of working within a family-friendly entertainment venue. It is ideally suited for individuals passionate about providing excellent customer service in a fun and lively atmosphere, with opportunities for career advancement and a supportive benefits package.
