The company values innovation and employee well-being, recently receiving the "Best in STEM" award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025.
CEC Entertainment is dedicated to building a dynamic workplace where careers are centered around great food, family, and fun. The company emphasizes promoting from within, with over 60 percent of managerial staff having risen through the ranks. CEC offers an engaging and supportive environment suited both for first-time job seekers and those looking to build fulfilling career paths. With a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, CEC strives to ensure its workforce reflects the broad spectrum of backgrounds and experiences of the guests it serves.
The Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker positions at Chuck E. Cheese play vital roles in delivering the fun and excitement the brand is known for. These roles are responsible for preparing food orders efficiently and maintaining a high standard of food quality and safety in a no-fry kitchen environment. Tasks include preparing pizzas, salads, wings, and other menu items with an emphasis on teamwork and cross-training in various kitchen responsibilities. These positions operate in a fast-paced, sometimes loud environment featuring moving mechanical parts and flashing lights, requiring physical activity such as standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other movements throughout the shift.
CEC offers unique advantages like the innovative "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program that provides employees access to earned wages before formal paycheck dates, helping to improve financial flexibility. Compensation for commission-based roles varies, with exempt employees earning between $0.50 and $10.00 per sold Membership and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass, while non-exempt employees earn between $2.00 and $8.00 per sold Membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, paid bi-weekly.
In addition to competitive pay, Chuck E. Cheese ensures a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' health and well-being. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, employee assistance programs, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees have options for fixed indemnity medical coverage plus dental and vision plans, while full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours weekly are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, legal coverage, and educational support.
CEC adheres to all applicable state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and other employee benefits. The company prioritizes safety and health by maintaining rigorous sanitation standards and operational protocols designed to protect employees and guests alike.
CEC Entertainment embraces diversity and inclusion, promoting a culture where everyone’s unique background, experiences, and perspectives are respected and celebrated. As an equal opportunity employer, CEC does not discriminate based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local law.
Join Chuck E. Cheese as a Food Prep, Cook, or Pizza Maker and become part of a fun-loving team where you can grow your career, enjoy flexible scheduling, and help create magical experiences for families every day.
