Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is a prominent name in the industry. The company is dedicated to creating joyful, lasting memories for kids and families through fun, food, and play, embracing its motto "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®." Chuck E. Cheese celebrates over half a million birthdays annually and is committed to safety with programs like Kid Check® and extensive community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was awarded the "Best in STEM" award and recognized as one of America's Greatest Workplaces, underscoring its commitment to innovation and employee well-being.
Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience combining quality food, engaging entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere where fun is an integral part of the experience—"The Fun is Baked In!" Both brands promote physical wellness and motor skill development in children through various play attractions. The company fosters a diverse culture that values inclusion, safety, and community engagement.
CEC Entertainment is currently hiring Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Makers to join their team. This role is essential to the company's mission of providing a fun environment where families feel welcome and satisfied. The position is hourly, offering competitive pay between $15.00 and $16.50 per hour, with commission opportunities ranging based on employment status. For exempt employees, commissions range from $0.50 to $10.00 for each membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 for each Fun Pass sold, while non-exempt employees earn commissions ranging from $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, paid bi-weekly unless otherwise required by state law.
The Food Prep and Pizza Maker role involves preparing orders and assisting with food preparation in a no-fry kitchen focused on pizza, salads, and wings. The position is ideal for first-time job seekers or those seeking a vibrant career in food service and entertainment, supported by a strong culture of cross-training across multiple roles. Over 60% of managers at CEC Entertainment were promoted from within, highlighting the company’s investment in career development.
This area of work requires physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout the shift. The kitchen environment includes exposure to flashing lights, mechanical parts, and loud noises. Strong customer service skills, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and availability to work various shifts are essential for success in this role.
CEC Entertainment supports employee well-being through a comprehensive benefits program accessible to part-time and full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, employee meal discounts, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. The company also offers its unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees quicker access to earned wages. CEC maintains rigorous health and sanitation standards to protect both employees and guests.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, CEC Entertainment is committed to fostering a workforce that reflects the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of its guests. The company does not discriminate based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected classifications. This inclusive approach ensures a welcoming workplace for all individuals seeking to join the CEC family and contribute to a fun, safe, and dynamic environment.
