Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC ("CEC"), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. Proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands, CEC has built a reputation as a beloved destination where families come together to enjoy great food, engaging entertainment, and memorable experiences. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, the company is deeply committed to creating joyful, lasting memories through fun, food, and play. The brand's commitment to safety is exemplified through programs like Kid Check®, and their community support has included donating more than 24 million dollars to schools and nonprofits. The company takes pride in fostering a diverse and inclusive culture, reflected both in its workforce and how it serves millions of guests each year. Notably, in 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was honored with the “Best in STEM” award and named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, showcasing its leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
This role is for the position of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker at Chuck E. Cheese. This position emphasizes food preparation and kitchen support within a fun, family-oriented setting that avoids frying and focuses on preparing pizza, salads, and wings. As part of the kitchen team, employees help feed the fun by efficiently preparing orders and maintaining food prep areas while working in a safe and fast-paced environment. One of the unique benefits Chuck E. Cheese offers is the “Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow” program that allows employees to access earned wages promptly without waiting for traditional pay cycles. The position is suitable for individuals seeking first-time employment or those interested in growing a career within a company that encourages internal promotion—over 60% of managers were promoted from within. The job requires energy, enthusiasm, and excellent customer service skills, with a focus on teamwork and communication to engage effectively with guests and coworkers.
The company offers competitive hourly compensation rates ranging from $16.60 to $17.60 per hour, with commission potential based on membership and Fun Pass sales, varying between exempt and non-exempt statuses. The work environment includes exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, which are typical for a family entertainment venue. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, and walking during shifts. Chuck E. Cheese values safety and health, maintaining rigorous sanitation standards to protect team members and guests alike.
Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support individual and family needs nationwide. Benefits include telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, meal discounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may access fixed indemnity medical coverage and dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, while full-time employees averaging 29.5 or more hours per week are eligible for extensive medical, dental, vision, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)/Health Savings Accounts (HSA), insurance options, legal coverage, and additional education and student loan support. Local and state compliance is also ensured, providing paid sick leave and other benefits as mandated.
CEC Entertainment is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusion in all facets of employment and guest service. They strive to create a workplace reflecting the variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of the communities they serve. This position embodies the company’s mission to be a place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®" by contributing to an energetic environment where food, fun, and family come together.
