Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC ("CEC"), headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. With a presence that spans nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has established itself as a premier destination for families seeking fun, food, and memorable experiences. The company's commitment to creating joyful moments is exemplified in its celebration of over half a million birthdays annually and its dedication to safety through programs like Kid Check® and significant community support, including donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, recognizing the brand's innovative approach and focus on employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment is more than just a family dining and entertainment company; it is a place where careers are built on passion for great food, family, and fun. The company champions a culture of diversity, inclusion, and celebration of fun, making it an inspiring and enjoyable workplace where employees feel empowered and valued. With a strong internal promotion culture, over 60% of managers were promoted from within, highlighting the company’s dedication to career growth and development. The employment opportunity for Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Makers offers an exciting entry point for first-time job seekers or those looking to build a career in a vibrant, dynamic environment.
The role of Kitchen Prep and Pizza Makers is crucial in supporting the fun and exciting atmosphere that guests of Chuck E. Cheese have come to expect. The position involves preparing orders, assisting with food preparation in a no-fry kitchen setting, and helping to deliver high-quality pizzas, salads, and wings. Unlike many kitchen roles, this position avoids frying foods, emphasizing easier and healthier food prep methods. This role not only supports the culinary experience but also contributes to creating a welcoming environment for families and children to enjoy their visits.
Employees in this role benefit from competitive pay starting at $16.60 to $17.60 per hour, with additional commission opportunities dependent on sales of memberships and Fun Passes, varying between $0.15 to $10.00. CEC Entertainment further enhances employee satisfaction by offering a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, giving team members flexible financial benefits and eliminating the wait between paychecks. Employees also enjoy a 50% discount on meals during shifts, flexible schedules, scholarship opportunities, perks, discounts, and an employee referral program. The company also offers support through the CEC Cares Fund to assist during personal catastrophes.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age (exceptions may apply based on local laws) and should possess excellent customer service skills, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and availability to work various shifts. The job requires physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, along with standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling, walking, and squatting throughout the shift. The work environment may include flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, and the company is committed to making reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. CEC Entertainment prioritizes the health and safety of both its employees and guests with rigorous health and sanitation protocols that exceed local requirements.
CEC Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer, dedicated to reflecting diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives within its workforce. The company does not discriminate based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected classification. This welcoming and inclusive culture makes Chuck E. Cheese and its affiliated brands a great place to start or advance a career while having fun and making lasting memories.
