Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, bringing fun and joy to families across the United States and internationally. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spanning 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has built a strong reputation for creating memorable experiences where children can truly enjoy themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. The company is dedicated to fostering a culture of fun, inclusivity, and community support, contributing millions of dollars to schools and nonprofits annually. Their commitment to safety and innovation has earned them recognition such as the "Best in STEM" award and designation as one of America's Greatest Workplaces in 2025, reflecting their leadership in both employee well-being and industry standards.
The Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker roles at Chuck E. Cheese are essential positions that contribute to the company's mission of providing delicious food and a fun experience to families and kids. These positions involve preparing food orders and assisting with various kitchen tasks in a no-fry kitchen environment, emphasizing easy prep items like pizza, salads, and wings. This role is well suited for first-time job seekers looking to enter the workforce or individuals seeking to build a rewarding career in the hospitality and entertainment industry. Employees are thoroughly cross-trained in various positions, ensuring opportunities for growth, skill development, and advancement within the company. In fact, over 60% of Chuck E. Cheese managers were promoted from within, underscoring the brand's commitment to career progression.
Compensation for these roles ranges from $16.90 to $17.90 hourly, with additional commission opportunities based on sales of memberships and fun passes. The company offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access their earned wages daily rather than waiting for traditional bi-weekly pay cycles. This innovative approach reflects CEC Entertainment's dedication to supporting their employees' financial well-being. Beyond competitive pay, employees enjoy a 50% discount on meals during their shifts, flexible scheduling to accommodate diverse needs, scholarship opportunities, and various perks including referral bonuses and emergency assistance through the CEC Cares Fund.
The working environment requires physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds and performing movements like standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or squatting throughout the shift. It is a dynamic and energetic setting that involves interacting effectively with guests and coworkers while maintaining a positive attitude. Employees must adapt to the sensory aspects of the environment, including loud noises and flashing lights from the entertainment attractions. The company is committed to creating inclusive hiring practices, considers applicants with arrest and conviction records in compliance with fair chance laws, and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
CEC Entertainment champions diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that its workforce reflects the many backgrounds and experiences of the guests they serve. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company does not discriminate on any protected class status and fosters a culture that respects and values individual differences. Working at Chuck E. Cheese means joining a team devoted to bringing lasting joy to families through food, play, and exceptional service, providing an engaging and supportive environment where employees can grow personally and professionally.
