Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, serving millions of families across the United States and internationally. Known for creating joyful, lasting memories through fun, food, and play, CEC Entertainment prides itself on being the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid." With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spanning 45 states and 18 countries, the company provides exceptional family-friendly entertainment supported by innovative programs like Kid Check® to ensure safety and community engagement. The brand has a proud history of contributing over $24 million to schools and nonprofits, highlighting its commitment to community support and social responsibility. CEC Entertainment also was recently awarded the "Best in STEM" award and recognized as one of America's Greatest Workplaces in 2025, underscoring its industry leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
The role of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker at Chuck E. Cheese offers a fantastic opportunity for both first-time job seekers and those looking to build a fulfilling career in a dynamic and supportive environment. This position is centered around food preparation duties in a no-fry kitchen that includes pizza, salads, and wings, ensuring quick, easy, and safe food preparation practices. Employees in this role help bring the fun to life by ensuring high-quality and efficient food service that complements the entertainment experience that Chuck E. Cheese is famous for. Cast members are cross-trained in various positions to provide outstanding service, and career advancement is highly encouraged, with over 60% of managers having been promoted from within. The company fosters an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere where employees engage both guests and coworkers positively.
Compensation for the Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker position includes exciting commission potentials, varying from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass for exempt employees, while non-exempt employees can earn from $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass. Commissions are paid bi-weekly unless otherwise required by state law. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, providing employees with early access to their earned wages to help improve financial flexibility. The company also provides a competitive hourly wage and multiple attractive benefits including a 50% discount on meals during shifts, scholarships, employee referral programs, flexible scheduling, and assistance through the CEC Cares Fund during catastrophic events.
The physical demands of the role require employees to be able to lift or carry objects weighing between 0-50 pounds and to stand, bend, kneel, push, pull, and walk during shifts. The work environment involves some visual and auditory stimulation such as flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises, all typical in an amusement and family entertainment setting. Importantly, CEC Entertainment prioritizes the health and safety of its employees and guests by maintaining rigorous health and sanitation standards that meet or exceed local regulatory requirements. The company also embraces diversity and inclusivity, proudly hiring individuals from diverse backgrounds and fostering an equitable workplace culture with respect to race, gender identity, disability, veteran status, and beyond. This commitment makes Chuck E. Cheese a strong employer choice for individuals passionate about serving families in a lively and rewarding work environment.
