At Chuck E. Cheese, the culture is built around providing enjoyable experiences for kids and families, with a focus on fun, food, and family. The company empowers its employees, known as Cast Members, by cross-training them in a variety of positions, fostering an environment where growth and advancement are encouraged. Over 60% of managers have been promoted from within, exemplifying CEC's dedication to career development. The company offers flexible schedules, competitive pay starting between $17.90 to $18.90 hourly, and commission opportunities on memberships and Fun Pass sales. This specific role is hiring for Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker positions within the kitchen team. The kitchen staff plays a crucial role in delivering quality food that complements the fun atmosphere at Chuck E. Cheese. Duties involve preparing pizza, salads, and wings in a no-fry kitchen environment with easy food prep techniques. The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced, loud environment with moving mechanical parts and flashing lights. Employees must have an energetic and enthusiastic attitude and excellent customer service skills.
The company prioritizes health and sanitation standards to protect employees and guests, maintaining rigorous procedures that meet or exceed local regulations. Reasonable accommodations are provided as necessary to support individuals with disabilities. CEC Entertainment also values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that hiring and employment practices comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act and related ordinances.
As part of the benefits package, employees enjoy a 50% discount on meals during shifts, access to scholarship programs, employee referral incentives, perks and discounts, and assistance through the CEC Cares Fund, which supports employees during emergencies. Eligible U.S. employees can access a comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. The company strongly supports career growth, job training, and a supportive work environment where fun and family values are central.
