Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or food prep experience preferred
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Good physical condition with ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a related position
  • Knowledge of fundamental principles of food preparation and different cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including food handling, hygiene, and storage
  • Certification of compliance with food safety standards
  • Basic math skills and numerical counting proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of dishes according to set production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Gather all necessary ingredients and equipment at the workstation
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as part of ingredient preparation
  • Use kitchen tools and knives safely
  • Operate machinery such as baking ovens, stoves, slicing tools, and mixing devices
  • Employ baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming methods on various food items
  • Assemble, decorate, and portion food according to existing standards
  • Store food safely following food safety policies and guidelines
  • Clean and disinfect work areas, machinery, and tools
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
  • Follow Aramark's safety guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain precise food safety and sanitation measures
  • Protect company valuables
