Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking
  • knowledge of fundamental food safety regulations
  • certification in food handling or willingness to obtain
  • proficiency in basic math skills
  • strong communication abilities
  • physical capability for manual tasks and extended periods of activity
  • commitment to follow safety protocols and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a related position
  • knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • certification or demonstrated compliance with food safety standards
  • capability in basic math functions and numerical counting
  • strong interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal forms
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of dishes according to set production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • gather necessary ingredients and equipment at the workstation
  • perform measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items as part of ingredient preparation
  • use diverse range of tools and knives safely
  • operate machinery such as baking ovens, stoves, slicing tools, and mixing devices
  • employ culinary methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • assemble, decorate, and divide food according to standards
  • safely store food by adhering to food safety policies
  • purge and disinfect work areas, machinery, and tools
