Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role
- knowledge of food safety practices
- certification or training in food safety is preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- strong communication skills
- attention to detail
- ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- experience in cooking or related position
- knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles and cooking methods
- understanding of food safety regulations including handling, hygiene, and storage protocols
- compliance with food safety standards and certification
- capability in basic math and numerical counting
- strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
- physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking and standing
Job Duties
- prepare a variety of dishes according to set production guidelines and standardized recipes
- gather all necessary ingredients and equipment at the workstation
- perform activities like measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items as part of ingredient preparation
- use a diverse range of tools such as knives safely
- operate machinery including baking ovens, stoves, slicing tools, and mixing devices
- employ cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- assemble, decorate, and divide food according to standards
- safely store food by adhering to food safety policies and guidelines
- purge and disinfect work areas, machinery, and tools
- uphold customer service standards and maintain a positive attitude
- follow Aramark's safety guidelines and food safety and sanitation measures
- protect company valuables
