Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking roles
  • adherence to strict food safety and hygiene protocols
  • physical ability to handle tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing
  • certification in food safety or willingness to obtain it
  • ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • experience in cooking or related positions
  • knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles
  • understanding of cooking methods and food safety regulations including food handling, hygiene, and storage
  • certification or compliance with food safety standards
  • basic math skills and numerical counting proficiency

  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and prolonged standing

Job Duties

  • prepare a variety of dishes according to set production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • gather all necessary ingredients and equipment at the workstation
  • perform activities like measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • use a diverse range of tools safely including knives
  • operate machinery such as baking ovens, stoves, slicing tools, mixing devices
  • engage in culinary practices like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • assemble, decorate, and portion food according to standards
  • safely store food following food safety policies
  • clean and disinfect work areas, machinery, and tools
  • maintain a positive attitude and uphold excellence in customer service
  • follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure food safety and sanitation
  • protect company valuables
