Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs or more, as well as stand and bend for long periods of time
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and follow instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle busy checkout lines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to use kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment ware
  • Accurately account for cash and inventory

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and follow instructions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to use kitchen tools safely including knives and small equipment ware
  • Accurately account for cash and inventory

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations, complying with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, and label, date, and wrap food products by ServSafe procedures
  • Communicate with the chef for any instructions or training
  • Uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations and follow all safety, security, and kitchen procedures
  • Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed
  • Provide details on items for sale
  • Participate in set-up, opening, and closing procedures, arrange inventory, and notify the supervisor of any inventory deficiency or shortages
  • Record all transactions via the point of sale system and account for all transactions
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer service
