This opportunity is for a part-time position that demands a dynamic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be expected to work days, including weekdays and weekends, reflecting the operational needs of the store.

The Food Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring that grocery deliveries are meticulously checked, accurately stocked, and attractively displayed, always adhering to company guidelines on pricing and inventory management. This includes building out merchandise orders, validating deliveries against invoices, preparing appealing displays, and rotating food items to maintain freshness and safety. The role requires consistent monitoring of inventory levels to prevent stockouts, ensuring that customer needs are always met promptly.

Customer satisfaction is a cornerstone of this position. The associate must provide courteous, prompt, and friendly service, greeting and acknowledging customers, resolving routine concerns within established guidelines, and maintaining professional appearance and punctuality. The role also involves preparing and serving quality food and beverages.

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment is critical to ensuring customer safety and enhancing the store's appeal. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting and washing surfaces, managing waste, and inspecting equipment and facilities to meet safety and quality standards. The candidate must follow health codes and company procedures to prevent customer illness.

On the administrative side, the associate will attend job-related meetings, foster teamwork, comply with company policies, and perform duties with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work irregular hours may be required.

Physical demands include the ability to handle temperature variations, occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity for stocking and operating equipment, and mobility to maneuver throughout the store. The candidate will work predominantly indoors with some outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots and managing trash.
