Rooted deeply in its core values of trust, respect, integrity, and passion, Gold Star has grown to become more than just a restaurant or food brand; it represents a community committed to great food, great people, and meaningful experiences. This dedication is evident not only in how they serve their guests but also in how they nurture and support their employees behind the scenes. Gold Star's commissary operations are a vital part of their success, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality food products that meet the brand's exacting standards.
The role of Production Team Member at Gold Star’s Commissary is essential to maintaining the company's reputation for excellence. This position involves the preparation, cooking, and packaging of food products with a steadfast commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality. Working within a collaborative team environment, the Production Team Member will contribute to daily production goals by following precise procedures and adhering to rigorous food safety standards. This hands-on role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to operate and maintain food processing equipment such as grinders, kettles, mixers, and packaging machines. The team member will handle the assembly and disassembly of equipment, as well as performing critical cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a hygienic production environment.
Employees will be responsible for accurately measuring and weighing ingredients according to batch formulas, ensuring consistency and compliance with Gold Star's quality specifications. The packaging of finished products into designated containers, staging items for shipment, and preparing production materials will also be part of the daily workflow. The team member must be physically capable of managing the demands of the role, including lifting and carrying weights frequently, standing for extended periods, and working in environments with varying temperatures, from chillers to warmer production areas.
Gold Star values a team-oriented mindset that aligns with their foundational principles of trust, respect, integrity, and passion. They seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture. This position offers a full-time schedule of Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with an average of 40 hours per week. Compensation is competitive at $18 per hour plus benefits, reflecting Gold Star's dedication to taking care of their employees.
