The Food & Beverage Partner role at Rock City Gardens is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. This part-time position is critical in supporting the daily food operations across various food and beverage locations within the Gardens. As a frontline ambassador, the Food & Beverage Partner engages guests warmly, ensuring that every interaction enhances their overall visit by providing memorable and high-quality dining service. Responsibilities include assisting guests with menu selections, preparing and serving food and beverages according to established standards, handling transactions using POS systems, and maintaining hygiene and sanitation compliance to promote health and safety.
This role requires a dynamic, service-oriented individual who can multitask efficiently and collaborate closely with team members to maintain smooth operations. The successful candidate will help sustain Rock City Gardens' reputation for excellence by upholding portion control, minimizing waste, supporting inventory management, and ensuring clean and organized workspaces both in front and back of house. The position is ideal for candidates seeking to develop their food service skills, with opportunities for training including certification in ServSafe Food Handling. Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events is essential to meet guest needs throughout the year. Job Requirements
- Ability to provide a flexible schedule including nights weekends holidays and special events as needed
- Regular use of hands and fingers
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking standing stooping kneeling and crouching
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
Job Qualifications
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to receive training and develop new skills
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Ability to display a professional polite and engaging image to guests and partners
- Effective verbal communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read and understand operational documents
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Basic math skills including the ability to add subtract multiply and divide using units of American money
Job Duties
- Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with the organization's mission culture and values
- Model appropriate guest and partner interactions at all times
- Actively engage guests and promote menu items through up-selling to grow sales
- Work across all Rock City Gardens food and beverage locations as assigned
- Prepare and serve food in accordance with established recipes portion standards and quality expectations
- Operate the cash register and Point-of-Sale (POS) system including opening and closing procedures and daily deposits
- Assist in checking and recording food temperatures as required
- Follow all health code food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a high health inspection score
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room back-of-house areas and exterior grounds
- Ensure work areas are properly stocked clean and organized
- Maintain portion control and food quality to minimize waste and loss
- Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient operations
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
