Job Description

Fit-Flavors is a company dedicated to providing healthy, fresh-prepared meals that cater to a wide range of customers including storefronts, businesses, and residences. The company operates within the food production industry and is known for its commitment to quality and efficiency. At the heart of Fit-Flavors is the Production Operations Department, which encompasses three primary units: the Kitchen, Packaging, and Distribution departments. Each unit functions with a specific focus and maintains strict standards to ensure seamless production and timely delivery of wholesome meal options to customers. This commitment underpins the company’s reputation as a trusted provider of nutritious, convenient meals in a rapidly growing market.\n\nThe Packaging Department at Fit-Flavors plays a crucial role in this ecosystem by focusing on assembling, packing, sealing, and labeling meals that are freshly prepared in the kitchen. Meals are systematically packed using an organized assembly line approach to meet exacting quality standards. Notably, meals are sealed using a Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) machine, which significantly extends product shelf life up to 15 days.\n\nThe Packaging Associate position at Fit-Flavors is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about health, nutrition, and growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This full-time role, with shifts from Tuesday to Saturday approximately between 6:30 AM and 3 PM, offers starting pay at $17 per hour. The position is foundational within the Packaging Department, focusing initially on learning how to assemble meals efficiently according to a rotating seasonal menu. Beyond assembling meals, employees receive cross-training in critical functions such as Expediting, Machine Mapping, and Machine Banding. These roles involve planning and maintaining the supply flow, operating sophisticated packaging machinery, and ensuring quality control throughout the packaging process.\n\nCross-training enhances employee versatility and compensation, making the role ideal for those who seek professional development and flexibility. Fit-Flavors values team players who exhibit a growth mindset and adaptability in the face of change. The Packaging Associate works closely with both peers and leadership to maintain an efficient working environment that prioritizes hygiene, quality, and timely output. Physical requirements include the ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods, reflecting the demanding nature of food production work. Benefits such as health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401K with company match, paid time off, and employee discounts contribute to a supportive work environment. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a rapidly expanding local business dedicated to nourishing communities with healthy meal solutions while fostering employee growth and satisfaction.
