Currently, Sodexo is seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Service Operations Manager 3 to join its team supporting the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, located in Oceanside, California. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role plays a critical part in overseeing the daily culinary operations of one of Sodexo's Mess Halls within the Marine Corps base. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional food service in a high-volume dining environment that meets stringent quality, presentation, and customer service standards.

This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team, communicate professionally, and maintain positive client relations while prioritizing a service-focused approach. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 5 years of operational management experience in a busy food service setting, with demonstrable success in managing food and labor costs, adhering to budgets, and utilizing digital Food Management Systems for recipe planning, ordering, and inventory management. They must be detail-oriented and perceptive, with a keen eye for the elements that drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

The Food Service Operations Manager will be instrumental in creating a welcoming dining experience for service members, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, and fostering a motivated team environment. This role also favors candidates with high-volume food service experience, preferably within contract food service settings or union environments. Experience in high-end establishments is considered an asset.
