The Food Operations Manager will play a crucial leadership role responsible for managing all facets of the patient meal program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, enhancing the patient meal experience, and maintaining quality and operational excellence. The manager will oversee daily patient services operations, coordinate activities through frontline supervisors and their teams, and implement strategies that align with company and client financial targets. A key component of this role is fostering strong relationships not only within the food services team but also with patients, their families, and clinical staff to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.
This full-time position typically works a 12 PM to 8 PM shift and offers fair compensation determined by the candidate's education, experience, and skills. Sodexo emphasizes creating a positive and inclusive work environment while holding high standards for quality food service operations. The Food Operations Manager is expected to exemplify strong leadership, attentiveness to safety protocols including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and an unwavering commitment to superior patient care through nutritional services.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess demonstrated success in employee engagement and supervisory leadership, with a proven history of managing food or culinary services in various settings such as restaurants, catering, institutional services, or similar. Excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, and a passion for exceptional customer service are essential.
