Job Description

Currently, SodexoMagic is seeking a Food Operations Manager to join their team at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) within the Delta Sky Club lounge. The airport lounge is designed as a dedicated space for travelers to relax and rejuvenate before continuing their journey. As a Food Operations Manager, you will take a pivotal role in overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring high-quality products are consistently delivered to customers while meeting company and client financial goals. This role is integral to maintaining strong client and customer relationships, reinforcing Sodexo's commitment to excellence in service and operational standards.

This position requires a hands-on leader capable of managing and motivating frontline hourly staff through coaching, mentoring, and development. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and physical safety standards, consistently upholding Sodexo's stringent operational policies. The role demands an individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills who can juggle multiple priorities while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Flexibility in work schedule is necessary, including availability for various shifts to support the operation requirements at the lounge.

Job Requirements

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • be familiar with kitchen operations and/or have prior culinary knowledge
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
  • ability to work a flexible schedule that includes two opening shifts and three closing shifts
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • familiarity with kitchen operations and/or prior culinary knowledge
  • ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit passion for customer service
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including opening and closing shifts
  • working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
