Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to obtain required food safety certification
  • strong communication skills
  • physical stamina for standing and moving for extended durations
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • commitment to following safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles
  • understanding of various cooking methods
  • familiarity with food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal communication skills
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook foods based on production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • establish the work area with all needed tools and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items for cooking
  • ensure safe use of utensils including knives
  • manage tools such as ovens, stovetops, cutting appliances, and blenders
  • apply cooking techniques like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • portion and garnish food according to established standards
  • store food following safety regulations
  • clean and sterilize work environments and equipment
  • maintain customer service excellence with a welcoming attitude
  • adhere strictly to safety and food sanitation policies
  • preserve confidentiality of company belongings
