Emphasis is placed on participating in and contributing to the local restaurant scene, developing relationships that translate into growth opportunities, and championing US Foods’ exclusive brands through innovative programming and customer consultation. The Food Fanatic Chef is also responsible for leveraging tools like Menu Profit Pro to provide customized, cost-effective recipes for customers, and collaborating with restaurant operations consultants to enhance the overall customer experience.
This job entails coordinating and executing large-scale culinary events such as sales conferences, product cuttings, and general sales meetings, with the aim of cultivating a vibrant and food-driven culture within the division. The FFC is instrumental in supporting strategic initiatives like Scoop, ensuring these programs are effectively communicated and implemented across the assigned area of influence.
Additionally, the Food Fanatic Chef serves as a key contributor to the Food Fanatics community and program, participating in events locally and nationally, producing contributions for Food Fanatics magazine, and using social media strategically to elevate the program's visibility while adhering to the company’s cultural values. The role demands a culinary expert with excellent organizational skills, leadership ability, and a willingness to work in both kitchen environments and customer locations.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum seven years relevant culinary and foodservice experience
- High degree of written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Completion of comprehensive training and onboarding certification
- Ability to plan and execute high-impact culinary events
- Expert knowledge of product applications and culinary techniques
- Experience in training design and facilitation
- Physical ability to work in kitchen environments and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Availability to work in varied environments including distribution centers and customer locations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum seven years of relevant culinary and foodservice industry experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary, foodservice, and hospitality fundamentals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to various audiences
- Experience in designing and facilitating training programs for large and varied audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Passion for culinary arts and foodservice industry
- Prior sales or sales support experience preferred
- Chef certification and memberships in culinary organizations are a plus
