The Food Expeditor (EXPO) role at One Twenty Three Tavern is an essential position within the support staff team, central to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant. The Food Expeditor acts as a vital link between the kitchen and wait staff, overseeing the flow of food orders from preparation to delivery at guests' tables. This position requires excellent communication skills and an eye for detail to ensure every dish meets the restaurant's high standards before it reaches the customer. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a food service or restaurant environment is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation

Job Duties
- Communicate with chefs during service, check on the status of dishes, and call for wait staff when food is ready to serve
- Run food from the kitchen to guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, asking if they need anything else at the table
- Alert wait staff when the kitchen is out of specific ingredients and relay special food requests to the kitchen
- Inspect every plate to ensure proper garnishes and cleanliness before delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and order in cooking, prep, and food storage areas including coolers and dishwashing stations
- Follow sanitation standards and health department regulations to keep work areas clean and presentable
- Assist all staff as needed with food prep, serving, organizing stock, bussing tables, washing glassware, taking out trash and linens, sweeping and mopping expo line
