This company is dedicated to providing more than just food products; it offers comprehensive support and expert advice to help its clients improve operations, develop menus, select products, and strategize their businesses effectively. The team at Performance Foodservice is made up of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other specialists who collaborate closely with customers to ensure their success and satisfaction. This unique approach positions Performance Foodservice not just as a supplier but as a trusted partner to independent restaurant owners and food service providers.

The role of Sales Representative within Performance Foodservice is pivotal for the company's ongoing success in the competitive food distribution market. This is a full-time position focused on developing independent account business, emphasizing the profitability of these accounts through both acquiring new sales and deepening market penetration with existing clients. The sales representative is responsible for promoting and selling company-branded products, meeting brand sales objectives, and supporting customer service activities for regional and/or national chain customers. This role requires strategic planning of sales territories and individual customer approaches, demonstration of product samples, delivering compelling sales presentations, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

The position also involves setting up new customer accounts, determining pricing, coordinating with the credit department, scheduling order-taking and deliveries, and proactively following up to ensure delivery and product satisfaction. The successful candidate will be expected to grow sales and profit margins consistently and minimize accounts receivable issues by monitoring compliance with credit terms. The company fosters a safety-focused and inclusive workplace environment that values rewards, recognition, and respect. The Sales Representative role offers opportunities for growth and advancement, competitive pay, and robust benefits including day one health and wellness coverage, employee stock purchase plans, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. In all, this position offers a rewarding career path for those passionate about foodservice sales and supporting America's vital food distribution system.
