CCRC is currently seeking a Food Delivery Driver to join their team on a part-time basis, offering 25 hours of work each week. The hourly pay rate for this role is $21.00. This position involves working under the general supervision of the Early Care & Learning Facilities Supervisor and primarily involves delivering meals to Early Care and Learning Centers in the San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valleys. This role requires dedication to timeliness, safety, and adherence to health regulations, as well as a passion for supporting the organization's mission to promote child and family welfare.

The Food Delivery Driver will operate within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, undertaking significant travel—up to 75 percent of the work time—to multiple delivery locations. The driver will be responsible for ensuring meals reach various centers where children are present, complying with strict food handling and sanitation standards to maintain safety and quality. This entails loading and unloading insulated food containers, managing delivery documentation, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment. The role demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies, ensuring that all deliveries are performed safely and efficiently.

In addition to delivery duties, the Food Delivery Driver contributes to quality assurance by checking food temperatures and conditions to meet all local, state, and federal health standards. The role also includes vehicle upkeep and sanitation practices, requiring the driver to keep vehicles and food transporting equipment clean and in good condition, with regular maintenance checks. This position also expects cooperation and teamwork with other Nutrition Aides and staff members to support cleaning and operational tasks.

Candidate eligibility involves a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience in food handling, delivery, or related fields. The position also requires a valid California Driver’s License, at least three years of licensed driving experience, and geographic familiarity with the delivery areas in the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain Food Handler Certification within 90 days of hire. The role requires compliance with background checks, health clearances, and DMV clearance to meet safety and regulatory standards. Bilingual candidates with English and Spanish proficiency are preferred.
