The Food Delivery Driver position at Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County is an essential role focused on ensuring that nutritious pre-prepared meals are delivered efficiently and safely from the Westside Club kitchen to various Boys & Girls Club locations. This role involves managing the careful loading, transportation, and delivery of food items using BGCSLC vehicles while upholding high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Food Delivery Driver supports the overall mission by maintaining timely food service distribution across multiple club sites. The position pays $15 per hour with the potential for up to 40 hours per week and is classified as non-exempt. The Food Delivery Driver will be pivotal in maintaining communication between club locations, handling food containers, and assisting with basic kitchen and dining area upkeep when required.

Moreover, the role extends to occasional operation of a 35 ft. food truck and trailer to various events, including set up and breakdown responsibilities. This multifaceted position demands a safe and responsible driver who is detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • Submit to and pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Department of Children & Families

Job Duties

  • Load, convey, and deliver meals from West Club to various Clubs per schedule in a timely manner
  • Professional interaction with employees
  • Count and verify the food delivery order prior to leaving the kitchen
  • Assist with maintaining truck and food dispensing equipment
  • Deliver food items using BGCSLC vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Report any Club concerns to the immediate supervisor
  • Collect empty containers from Clubs
  • Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the BGCSLC vehicle
  • Assist with the cleanliness of the dining room, dishes, food truck, kitchen, and other workspaces at all times
  • Remove debris and trash from kitchen and cafeteria and ensure proper disposal
  • Log transport details and process paperwork
  • Assist with daily food service in the kitchen as directed by the kitchen manager
  • Support staff on the food truck and catering events as needed
  • Drive 35 ft. food truck/trailer to various sites/events as scheduled
  • Responsible for hooking up and breaking down food trailer
  • Participate in mandatory Boys & Girls Club trainings and All Staff meetings
  • Work special events during evenings and/or weekends as required
  • Complete any additional assignments as requested by the supervisor
