Job Description

Store 2709478 is located at 1990 College Blvd, Oceanside, California 92056. This establishment is part of a nationally recognized convenience store chain dedicated to providing quality customer service and an extensive assortment of products. Known for its commitment to convenience and customer satisfaction, this store is a prime destination for local customers in Oceanside who seek quick and reliable access to necessary items and food products. The company values operational excellence, food safety, and continuous training to maintain high standards across all its locations.

The role available at this store is focused on Food Category Expertise and operational excellence within the foodservice section. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about food safety, training, and sales optimization. As a Food Category expert, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food operational guidelines are followed precisely to optimize sales while minimizing waste. The role involves hands-on management of food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, sanitization, and customer service within the store environment.

In addition to managing the food category, the position requires coaching and training responsibility. The role includes planning and executing food sampling initiatives, providing employees and customers with direct experiences of the products offered. The candidate will serve as the primary resource for all questions related to food products and services, ensuring associates are well-informed and customer-focused. Training extends to both new initiatives and refresher courses, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with current operational standards.

This position places a strong emphasis on adherence to food safety practices, with expectations to maintain proper stock levels and use First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methods to guarantee freshness and minimize shrinkage. The individual will also have ordering responsibilities aimed at reducing out-of-stock situations and improving overall shrink metrics, contributing directly to the store's profitability.

Successful candidates will work closely with BUQAS training personnel and management teams to align on training objectives, conduct needs analysis following audits, and ensure all operational standards are met within budgetary constraints. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with customers, management, colleagues, and vendors. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.33 to $21.50 and includes full-time day shift availability.

The company fosters an inclusive workplace and is an Equal Opportunity Employer complying with the ADA and other disability legislation, ensuring reasonable accommodations are available for applicants who require assistance during the hiring process. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth within a nationally respected convenience store brand that prioritizes operational excellence, food safety, and employee development.
