This Food and Beverage Manager position is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within the Food and Beverage department. The ideal candidate will establish the appropriate tone for each shift, lead by example, and train staff to deliver the organization’s renowned Five Star Experience. The role requires a dynamic individual who can enforce established operational activities, maintain adherence to company policies and safety practices, and provide outstanding customer service. Reporting to higher-level management, the Food and Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring food quality, managing budgets, and administrating beverage controls while supporting the overall mission of the organization.
The manager will actively coach and mentor team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills, tools, and resources to succeed in their roles. They will also be responsible for inventory control, food and beverage cost estimation, and ensuring proper compliance with liquor laws and tribal internal control standards. Working with multiple locations, often operating 24/7, flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency calls is essential for this role. The job includes supervisory duties such as interviewing, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions. The ideal candidate must have at least five years of supervisory or management experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screens, and obtain all necessary licenses, including a Tribal Gaming License.
This position demands excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and the capability to make fair and honest decisions while fostering a safe and productive environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years or equivalent supervisory or management experience
- Ability to pass background suitability investigation
- Must obtain Tribal Gaming License
- Must pass periodic random drug screens
- Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and emergency calls 24/7
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees by exceeding the mission statement
- Lead by example and fulfill Five Star Experience by following department service standards
- Continually coach and support team members to ensure skills and resources
- Practice and promote company-wide Five Star Experience service mission
- Administer company and departmental policies including safety regulations
- Estimate food and beverage costs and requisition purchases
- Assist in estimating annual food and beverage budget
- Plan menus and operations with food preparation personnel
- Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
- Review financial transactions and monitor budget
- Access point of sale system for billing and corrections
- Assist in providing customer service quality maintenance
- Ensure training and development through meetings and coaching
- Manage accurate beverage controls using Berg Liquor Control System
- Ensure proper liquor requisition and storage procedures
- Develop and maintain daily checklists and product pars
- Provide leadership on restaurant and beverage standards
- Offer ideas for advertising and marketing to increase revenue
- Utilize sales reports to develop scheduling
- Promote staff productivity and revenue growth
- Conduct monthly beverage inventories
- Abide by liquor regulations
- Train staff in policies and service standards
- Ensure adherence to cash handling policies
- Stock bars and food outlets
- Assist in interviewing job applicants
- Maintain communication with directors and supervisors
